The Consumer Rights Act 2015 (the Act) is due to come into effect in October 2015. Part of the Act focuses on unfair terms in consumer contracts or consumer notices and aims to protect consumers from unfair terms. The purpose is not to wrap the consumer in cotton wool but merely to provide a level playing field for both traders and consumers.
